Noise from the adjacent rooms proved to be quite disruptive, especially from a large group drinking and laughing loudly nearby, which interfered with relaxing on the verandah. Additionally, having the closest room to the road meant some traffic sounds intruded, detracting from the overall quiet atmosphere you'd expect. The view wasn't ideal from the outdoor seating area, facing a building rather than the scenic backdrop you'd hope for. The long-life milk provided in the room didn’t taste great, though fresh alternatives were available upon request.

Comfortable and spacious room with a well-equipped kitchenette made it easy to relax after a long day. The on-site restaurant offered excellent food, particularly the authentic dishes that made our meals memorable. However, road noise was noticeable at times, and the traffic could be a bit disruptive. Also, the lack of entertainment options for teenagers was a downside during our stay.

We had a lovely stay at this family-run spot just south of Greymouth. The kids enjoyed the convenient on-site market, and the rooms were modern with everything we needed for a family of four, including a nice kitchenette. The owner, Bernie, was super welcoming and made dinner enjoyable.
My kids wished there were more entertainment options for teenagers.

I stayed in a One-Bedroom Unit for a night. The room was super comfy with great pressure in the shower—definitely a highlight! There were some solid cooking facilities, and I loved having Sky TV and Netflix for some downtime. Hearing the beach was a nice touch, even if the view wasn’t directly from our room. The only downside was that there were no tables or chairs, so working on my laptop was a bit awkward.
